Our firm caps legal fees for an Uncontested Guardianship for children with special needs who are "aging out" by turning 18 years old. The maximum fee is reduced to $499.00 if the special needs child is a resident of Denton County. This service includes filing an application for guardianship, obtaining proper citation for interested parties, assisting you in communicating with the court appointed attorneys, preparing you for the hearing, representing you at the hearing, and providing instructions relating to future reporting requirements imposed by the court. We will also draft a declaration of successor guardianship at no extra charge so that you can make your wishes known as to who should serve as guardian should you no longer be able to do so. Bring in a print out of this page and receive an additional $50.00 discount further reducing our fee to $449.00 in Denton County.
