Robert was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas where he graduated from Church Hill High School. After graduation he attended St. Mary's where he received a degree in Business Administration. Robert worked for a number of years as an executive for a Texas company before receiving an MBA from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
Upon receiving his MBA, Robert began law school at Southern Methodist University's (SMU) Dedman School of Law in Dallas Texas. He was a member of the law review. He graduated in 2001. After graduation he worked at Jones Day in Dallas. While at Jones Day, he concentrated on large mergers and acquisitions, business and asset divestiture, business advising and real estate transactions.
Robert left Jones Day to open Coorpender & Ramirez, Attorneys and Counselors at Law, PLLC with his wife, Laura Coorpender-Ramirez. Robert is a member of Phi Delta Phi, the international legal fraternity, and Delta Sigma Phi, the international business fraternity. In addition, he is a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas, the arm of the state bar that sets the standards for continuing education. Robert and his wife are active members in their church.
